Government & Politics, Psychology, Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Physics C, Calculus BC, English Language & Composition, English Literature, Computer Science A and Computer Science Principles. Additionally, students have the opportunity to challenge themselves with 20 Honors Courses, as well as 12 college level courses offered through educational partnerships with SUNY Albany, SUNY Orange, and Mount Saint Mary College. Through courses like these, students learn to think critically, construct solid arguments, and see many sides of an issue-skills that prepare them for college and beyond. WVHS offers 13 Advanced Placement courses: American History, World History, U.S. And even for those who don’t earn college credit, AP coursework provides early exposure to college-level work and contributes to a college-going school culture. Students who enter a four-year college with credit from AP courses, accelerate their path to graduation and build confidence for college success. Research shows that AP students are more likely to attend college and graduate on time. Twenty-five of those students were AP scholars with honors, and 39 were AP scholars with distinction.
